The Bharat Scouts & Guides movement at Cambridge Model School is a vibrant program that develops well-rounded individuals through outdoor adventures, community service, and hands-on skill-building. With its motto "Be Prepared", the program teaches students to be self-reliant, resourceful, and always ready to help others.
Our Scout & Guide unit is registered with the Bharat Scouts & Guides, Uttar Pradesh. The program is open to students from Class VI onwards, with Cubs & Bulbuls for younger students in primary classes.
Scouts & Guides learn the importance of helping others through community service projects, cleanliness drives, and neighbourhood welfare activities.
Camping, knot-tying, fire-making, tent pitching, and survival skills are taught through regular outdoor sessions and adventure camps.
Basic first aid training including bandaging, CPR, and emergency response – essential life-saving skills that every Scout and Guide masters.
Map reading, compass use, and direction-finding through practical field exercises, treasure hunts, and orienteering challenges.
Tree planting, nature study, wildlife conservation awareness, and eco-friendly practices that instill a deep respect for the environment.
Scouts earn proficiency badges across a range of skills including cooking, swimming, cycling, photography, first aid, and many more specializations.
Our Scouts & Guides actively participate in local, state, and national-level events that build camaraderie, skills, and a sense of achievement.
A 3–5 day residential camp featuring outdoor activities, campfire programs, cultural performances, and team-building challenges that create lifelong bonds among students.
Participation in district, state, and national-level rallies and jamborees where scouts from different schools come together for shared learning and fellowship.
Celebration of World Thinking Day and Founder's Day on 22nd February each year with special assemblies, badge ceremonies, and reflection activities.
Regular community service including Swachh Bharat campaigns, blood donation awareness drives, aid during natural calamities, and neighbourhood improvement initiatives.
Evening campfire sessions during camps with songs, skits, group games, and storytelling that strengthen team spirit and foster creativity among students.
Regular testing camps where scouts demonstrate their skills to earn specialized proficiency badges, working towards the prestigious Rajya Puraskar and Rashtrapati Award.
